BIOGRAPHY
As a native of Northwest Arkansas, I have become familiar with the underrated beauty Arkansas has to offer.  I've had a fascination with weather, geography and nature since I was a child.  As a meteorologist and storm chaser, I continued to develop a love for the landscape and the scenes nature has to offer. I'm often intrigued about the relationship between weather and photography. I believe weather is the ultimate wildcard in creating unique outdoor photography.  I'm an avid hiker who loves to travel to new places near and far. I live in Fayetteville but I also have a cabin in Newton County...where I am often traveling the rural roads and forested trails to the viewpoints, waterfalls and rivers Arkansas has to offer.  I also travel across the country in search of scenes that will give me a sense of emotion in hopes to conveying some of that impression on to the viewer in a unique and compelling image.

                                                                 ARTIST STATEMENT
My passion as a nature photographer did not start with a passion for cameras or even a passion for art. My interest in photography began as a love for geography, outdoor adventure, and exploration in the Ozarks of Arkansas. The more I connect with nature, the more I develop a relationship with it.  My goal is to create a photograph you can proudly display in your home or office so you can share the experience of feeling the landscape, just like I did.  I might take you to a place you have never been before.  For others, I might take you to a place you have been to and want to experience again.  I believe great photography is about 50% knowing how to use your camera and about 50% being at the right place at the right time. As a photographer, I try to combine these elements to create fine art that is aesthetically pleasing to you. In addition to creating fine art, another goal of mine is to inform you about the importance of enjoying and protecting the beauty of our natural world.  Hopefully you will be inspired enough to also preserve our natural wonders.
